Visit Us for The Ormskirk Beer, Food & Wine Festival 2017!

Finding things to entertain the family with once the kids have gone back to school and all summer events seem to be drawing to a close can be difficult. Weekends can seem daunting if you haven’t got something up your sleeve to keep the whole family entertained – which is why we thought we’d let you in one of Ormskirk’s best weekends of the year: The Ormskirk Beer, Food & Wine Festival 2017!

With camping at Abbey Farm – one of the best spots for camping in Lancashire – you can while away a great weekend with the family here. There’s no better feeling than knowing you’re a short walk away from the party!

For one weekend only, Ormskirk is opening itself up for a culture fest, with a smorgasbord of delightful food, artisan alcohol and more live music than you could shake a stick at. Here are just some of the attractions that bring in many locals and tourists in the Lancashire area every year for The Ormskirk Beer, Food & Wine Fest 2017:

Food Market

With stands from a vast range of local food places; restaurants and cafes, you can be sure that you’re getting a proper Northern home cooked meal with the food market at The Ormskirk Beer, Food & Wine Festival. Whether it’s locally-sourced beef, or the freshest bread from local bakeries; there’s something to tickle every taste bud and help you process all the tempting beers and gins on offer!

Hand-Pulled Real Ales

Real ale enthusiasts will have a field day with this festival – last year we offered over 60 different hand-pulled real ales to our visitors – delighting even the most seasoned real and craft ale fan. Luckily, we’re one of the only caravan parks in Lancashire nearby so relax in the fact you can amble back to Abbey Farm after a day of acquainting you with beers from our local breweries.

Craft Gin Bar

For those who prefer a slightly lighter tipple, we also offer a wide range of craft gins in a myriad of deliciously refreshing cocktails. Whether you’re a G&T lover, or game for a gin and pineapple juice; we have all the ingredients in Ormskirk to ensure your day goes swimmingly.

Family Day Sunday

Most of the weekend is centred around boozing, so it might be an idea to do the weekend in groups and then all rock up to The Ormskirk Beer, Food & Wine Festival on the Sunday for the Family Day. You’ll find a whole host of activities to keep the little ones entertained (and there’ll still be live music and craft alcohol for the adults).

If you’re looking for somewhere to stay during your visit to The Ormskirk Beer, Food & Wine Festival 2017, Abbey Farm can accommodate many happy revellers, in tents, caravans or motorhomes. Contact us today to book in for the weekend of the festival – 22nd September – 24th September 2017 – but don’t delay: we usually book up very quickly for this event!
